Actually, for the sake of following Microsoft's
templates, I'm going to just hyperlink to a few of the things I like to do
and have subsequently recorded on the worldwide web.

Sports Okay. I confess: I'm a
sports fanatic! Fully involved in both the armchair and real world
versions of sports mania. I've been playing various sports all my
life and watching a great deal on TV too. Primarily, I play football
(soccer) twice a week. I've been associated with various teams in
the COSMO League in Singapore since about 1994, and currently play
for Team France (it's a long story...). I also enjoy playing tennis,
table tennis and badminton when I get the chance. Armchair-wise, in
addition to watching countless hours of Soccer on ESPN, I'm
passionate about watching Rugby Union. Looking forward to the World
Cup in Japan/Korea, and seeing how my native England side compete
with the best teams in the World.

Entertainment Bit of a
catch-all interest really. I enjoy Movies, Music and Books most of
all, but in terms of Entertainment, I think there are many subjects
related to enjoyment that fall under this particular category. In
Singapore, there's recently been a big push to improve access to
high culture, and with the new Esplanade Complex about to open
-- I'm hoping to enjoy more live shows from around the world, such
as Plays and Musicals. Specifically my latest indulgences have
included; Ridley Scott's harrowing film Black Hawk Down, and
Jonathan Franzen's monumental tome, The Corrections. "Miss
Saigon" and "Alegria" have just passed through the
country, and I also attended the first MTV Asia Music Awards Show
which was certainly an eclectic mix of musical performances from
East and West.

Technology Being a late convert
to computing and technology, I guess I've been more affected than
most people by its impact on humanity. More especially when I think
about the Internet and the power of "always on, always
available" multimedia communication. From an English and
Publishing perspective it really has moved the capability for
expression away from tutored Elitists -- and into the hands of the
public-at-large. This gives everyone the opportunity to be, not just
famous for fifteen minutes -- but an enduring, dynamic author
available 24/7 to anyone searching the Web who's interested to
listen to their worldview.
